Tyler Parks Death – The Cook County Medical Examiner has confirmed the identity of the teenager found shot and killed Saturday night in the 12500 block of South State Street. 17-year-old Tyler Parks was discovered on the street, a victim of a gunshot wound to the neck. The tragic incident took place on the evening of November 9, 2024, around 7 p.m., prompting an immediate response from the Chicago Police Department (CPD).
Officers arrived at the scene after receiving a call reporting an unconscious person lying in the street. Upon their arrival, they found Tyler unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, listed as “0-1-1-0” (Dead on Arrival). Authorities have stated that there were no shell casings found in the area, leading investigators to believe that the shooting occurred elsewhere, and that Tyler’s body was later abandoned at the location where he was found.
The CPD has stated that witnesses reported seeing a silver SUV leaving the area shortly after the body was discovered. However, there are currently no suspects in custody, and the investigation remains ongoing.
