Ross Noyes, a resident of Brooklyn, New York, and a TV Eye culinary director and former Boston musician has passed away. He was announced dead by TV Eye NYC in a statement on social media that says “It is with a heavy heart that we announce the untimely passing of master chef, original TV Eye culinary director, and all-around mensch, Ross Noyes of Barker & Sons.”
Who was Ross Noyes?
Boston, Massachusetts, was the birthplace of Ross Noyes. He was smart, incredibly clever, devastatingly humorous, a lyricism and wit that was sometimes very challenging, warm, and caring, but sometimes hard to get a grip on. Over the years, Ross was a member of several Boston bands, such as Poison Control, Sirens, Ringers, Classaction, and The Refuseniks.
In the early 2000s, he and Sue Jeiven co-founded the Regeneration space, initially housed in a Dorchester building. A few years later, Sue and Ross discovered a facility in Allston that served as a record store, tattoo parlor, and performance venue after they were shut down after a month.
About Ross Noyes
After a while, Ross relocated to New York City, where he operated Barker and Sons, a food stand at the TV Eye venue in Brooklyn. His extensive lexicon of delectable innovations, as distinctive and soulful as they were tasty, continuously provided for a great number of people over an extended period of time.
He used the same fervor, cunning, and creativity that he used to help redefine nachos for a generation to tackle music, painting, and his many other endeavors. Lastly, Ross was always there for TV Eye’s customers, staff, and owners as a friend, sage, and understanding ear.
