Buckeye Hills Career Center student Brandon Booth of Cheshire, Ohio has died. He passed away on Monday 11th November 2024 at the age of 17. He was confirmed dead through a post that reads “With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to a wonderful young man. We will never be able to express the strength, love and resilience this family has shown over the years.” The cause of his death is unknown.

Brandon Booth, born July 13, 2007, in Gallipolis, Ohio, was a young man whose life was defined by his deep connection to family, his love of nature, and his dedication to learning and personal growth. The son of Charles Lee Booth of Bidwell, Ohio, and Melissa (Randy) Sigman of Cheshire, Ohio, Brandon’s life was a testament to the values of hard work, family bonds, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors.

Growing up in the scenic landscapes of Gallia County, Brandon developed a profound connection with nature at an early age. His love for the outdoors became one of the cornerstones of his personality. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, activities that allowed him to experience the beauty of rural Ohio and provided opportunities for him to spend time with family and friends.

Brandon attended River Valley High School in Bidwell, Ohio, where he was known for his quiet determination and strong character. He balanced his academic pursuits with his extracurricular interests, participating in school activities and focusing on his future career goals. He also attended Buckeye Hills Career Center in Rio Grande, Ohio, where he gained valuable skills and practical experience that would serve him well in the years to come. In addition to his parents, Brandon leaves behind his son, Ryder Scott Booth; brothers and sisters: Andrew (Cassidy) Clark, Dakota (Jessica) Booth, Erica (Adam) Massie, Tiffany (Trent Holcomb) Hurst, Megan Clark, Courtney (Ryan) Edwards, Travis (Kimmy) Sigman and Tyler (Joey) Blackburn. He is also survived by Brandon will be maternal grandmother, Loreda Davis; paternal grandmother, Hazel Louise Nickels; aunt, Paula (Terry) Hill and girlfriend, Morgan Arthur as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Brandon was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ralph Davis. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 15, 2024, at 7:00 PM in Vinton Baptist Church, 11818 SR 160, Vinton, Ohio with Ron Hammond officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church Friday 3:00-7:00 PM. Cremation services will follow under the direction of the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio.
